"STOP Trying to Plan Everything" : The Lesson I Most Recently Learned
I’m a firm believer in things working out the way they’re suppose to and in God’s time.
Now given, I haven’t always felt this way, but through life’s trials and tribulations I’ve learned it is so true. Why I thought the timing of this website and blog launch would be any different I don’t know. Guess it was just HIS way of saying once again, “Holly, slow down. I’ve got this.”
The past 21 months have led me on an amazing adventure of success, learning, growing and evolving into the woman I feel I was always meant to be. A woman who is more than a direct seller and network marketer. Hence, the launching of this site.
I think at 36 and a half years old, I finally have life figured out. Ok, not really but I’m getting there.
Since the beginning of the year, I have been working with a branding/marketing strategist on creating this site and blog. My OCD, Patty Planning self has been in such a hurry to get my brand out there. I felt like a hamster on a wheel as others continued to promote, launch their own sites and move forward.
Again, I was too worried about them and not listening to what HE had in store for me. Originally, this site would have launch on May 14 while I was in route, cross country to my second LimeLife Executive Leader’s Retreat. After what I thought was going to be the final chat and sign off with Kendall, the launch didn’t happen.
I was annoyed to say the least, but now it makes so much sense.
What I thought would be a leader’s retreat and training much like the one of 2017, turned out to be life changing in me really figuring out my purpose in this business. That week in Sonoma was filled with tears, soul searching, confrontation, healing and an awakening that was much needed for myself as a wife, mom, friend, leader and business owner.
And upon my return, emotionally exhausted but in a good way, I realized the bigger reason in why this site didn’t launch on my time. I wasn’t ready. God hadn’t fully cleared my heart and head. HE knew what I needed. Not me.
So with a clear vision of my future, purpose and passion, here I am. I’m ready to lead with a servant’s heart, in God’s time and in a way that helps others. I mean truly help people, without worrying about how it would benefit me.
See, LimeLight was a business that while creating many amazing things for my life also brought stress, fear, weariness and a self-centered attitude. LimeLife is about helping others realize their true potential, follow their dreams, live in abundance and bring balance into life.
Thank you for allowing me to share LimeLight with you. Without each part of the puzzle, I wouldn’t have grown and matured. Now, I look forward to sharing my vision, passion and life with you; a little something we call LimeLife.
Here’s to less of me and listening more to God's plan, so I can lead better.
