The Elephant in the Room : The Network Marketing Mistake You Might Be Making
Alright, I’m going to be the bad person, but it is a truth that you might need to hear...
Here it is: STOP cold messaging people!
If I just offended you I’m sorry, but stick with me. I have a purpose here.
There isn't many more things that can drive me crazy than receiving a "ding" from messenger only to have a message from someone I do not know at all, only for them to try to sell me something.
You would be amazed at how many “Hey girl! You were on my mind…” or “Hey babe! I’m so close to meeting my goal…” I receive. And when they’re about cosmetics, I can’t help but laugh. It’s super obvious people didn’t check out my profile because I’ve definitely got that covered.
Now I was once involved in a company where this was the norm. In fact, it was encouraged, taught, preached, engrained, and expected. Apparently, that company isn’t the only one that practices this thinking.
Guess what??? IT DOESN’T WORK! Nope not at all!
What it does do it do?
-It annoys people.
-Make them angry.
-Gives everyone involved in direct sales and network marketing a bad name.
I know when I participated in it I always felt icky, fake and down right dumb. And I AM SO SORRY if I ever sent you a cold message. Like a wise person once said, “When you know better, you do better.”
There is a better way and I am so thankful I learned it.
I’m here to teach you too.
