Styled by Holly: I'm Launching an Online Boutique!

“Wait?! Holly’s doing what?” Well if you know me even just a tiny bit, you know that I am always “doing” and don’t stand still for long. It’s just kind of what makes me tick. What started as my husband’s idea, yep you heard that right, is just days away from becoming a reality.

Live, Love and Shop Local

Everyone’s world has been turned upside down the last month or so with the pandemic. The sting of this crisis has affected everyone differently. It has really made me stop and think about the “what ifs” of life on so many levels. Corporations taking large measures for safety. The medical community is changing healthcare operations for everyone’s safety. Businesses are being labelled either essential or non-essential. The places we use to frequent on a daily basis are no longer convenient, and many of those places are locally owned businesses with families directly affected.

How Doing Less Can Actually Be More

Whew! It’s been a minute since I last wrote but that doesn’t mean I’ve been idle. As you know, I shared my word for the year to be intentional and that’s exactly what I’ve been trying to do. Why blow up your inbox with more useless info right? Instead, my goal this year is to bring more value to your life, even if that means less often. So today I want to share a few simple practices that regardless of what you do for a living, can help you to become more productive and intentional this year.

Game Planning - A Guide to Life & Business

Last week I shared how I believe that we can do “all the things” if we choose to implement a few steps to simplify our lives.  One of those was planning. I believe this to be the biggest factor in determining both success and maybe even sanity in our fast-paced world.  I want to share with you some valuable strategies I have learned over the last few years in hopes that you too can find structure whether it’s in everyday home life or business.

Dare to Be Different

You probably noticed that the last 18 months have looked a lot different for me. You saw a lot less business stuff every day and more of just me, my family and my life. I didn’t spam your social media newsfeed daily with a product or another milestone from myself or my teammates. Live videos became a novelty instead of a regular thing. Making these changes at first was scary and I was a tad resistant, but when we do things out of our comfort zone it usually is.

Guatemala: A Perspective Shift

Guatemala... not somewhere you would probably think I would go. From what you’ve seen and heard on the news, you probably wouldn’t want to visit either. Several folks messaged me last week wondering why I was there. In all honesty, 6 months ago, I wasn’t too keen on going myself. However, something told me to take a chance and see. I’m here to say, it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Hustle: Part Two

Earlier this week, I talked about my personal hustle and asked you to define the word for yourself.  Now that you’ve had time to think about it and hopefully have come up with your own definition, I want to share a little more detail about how I hustle.

Why Research Pays When Considering Network Marketing

Network marketing, direct sales, multi-level marketing; regardless of the name you give the industry, you know what I’m referring to.  Now before you roll your eyes and click the exit button hear me out. I too am annoyed with countless sales pitches and cold messages, particularly via social media, but there is a good reason it seems to be everywhere.

The Details on my *Free* Costa Rica Trip

If you know me at all you know that I love sun, sand and warm weather. I feel at home at the beach whether it’s locally or abroad. Over the last few years I have been fortunate to travel to several tropical locations both with my job and otherwise. I’ve been home from Costa Rica for only about 5 days, but I’m already planning my next vacay.

A Milestone in Business : Joining the Chamber

When you think of your local chamber of commerce, you think of the rows of Mom & Pop businesses in your town. Ribbon cuttings, receptions and the little sticker displayed in their window. These are all signs they’ve “made it” in our definition of business. It’s what I really love about a small town commercial district.
